Ingredients

  • 4 pita breads or flatbread/tortilla
  • 1 tsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp horseradish sauce
  • 1 tsp oil for sautéing turkey
  • 2 cups cooked turkey chopped, leftover
  • 0.5 red onion thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cucumber thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1 cup cheese shredded mozzarella or provolone
  • 1 cup fresh spinach

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix sour cream with horseradish sauce until smooth. Spread evenly over each pita bread.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped turkey and sauté for 3–4 minutes until warmed and lightly golden. Remove from heat.
  3. Layer the sautéed turkey on top of the sauce-covered pita. Add red onion, cucumber, bell pepper, tomato slices, shredded cheese, and spinach.
  4. Roll each pita tightly to form a wrap.
  5. Preheat a grill or panini press to 450°F. Place wraps on the grill, close lid, and cook for 3 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  6. Slice in half if desired and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Warm the pita bread before rolling to prevent cracks or tearing.
  • Do not overfill the wrap; keeping ingredients centered makes grilling easier.
  • Chicken can be used instead of turkey if preferred.
