  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt adjust based on cheese saltiness
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese use aged Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning or paprika optional, for added flavor

  • In a large bowl, toss chicken pieces with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and optional Italian seasoning or paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add chicken in a single layer. Work in batches if necessary.
  • Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes until fully cooked through.
  • Lower the heat. Add minced garlic and stir constantly for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
  • If cooked in batches, return all chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly with garlic.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle Parmesan over the chicken. Toss until the cheese melts slightly and coats the chicken.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, don’t overcrowd the pan—cook chicken in batches if necessary.
  • Use high-quality Parmesan cheese for richer flavor and better melt.
  • To reduce sodium further, omit the added salt and rely solely on Parmesan for seasoning.
