Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, Panko bread crumbs, minced garlic, dried oregano, kosher salt, beaten egg, and shredded Parmesan cheese. Mix well and roll into 12 meatballs, each about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
- Place the meatballs in an oven-proof skillet or baking dish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each meatball. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each meatball.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush the mixture over the slider rolls.
- Place the buttered rolls on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for a couple of minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Place one meatball on each toasted slider roll. Serve immediately and enjoy! Garnish with fresh basil and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
Notes
- If using grated Parmesan cheese, it may not work as well in this recipe. Use shredded Parmesan for best texture.
- If you like, you can garnish with fresh basil for added flavor.
